Race Highlights – 2007
Deena Kastor of Mammoth Lakes, CA, 2004 Olympic Bronze Medalist in the marathon, took first place honors at the 31st Running of the Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women. Among a deep and competitive field of 6,000 runners, Kastor placed just 23 seconds short of the course record with a time of 32:01. Two-time Tufts Health Plan 10K for Women champion, Katie McGregor of Minneapolis, MN, took second place with a time of 32:41. Crossing the finish line in third place was Elva Dryer of Gunnison, CO, with a time of 32:53. With her win at Tufts, Deena Kastor also became the USATF Women’s National 10K Champion.
